Rush and an On Going Drug Problem : Viagra without a Prescription Rush Limbaugh Busted for Viagra : 6/26/06Rush Limbaugh was detained for about 3 and half hours by ICE officials at Palm Beach International Airport. Rush arrived from the Dominican Republic in his private plane. As is routine, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement proceeded to examine his luggage. Agents found a pill bottle labeled Viagra but the name on the prescription was other than Rush Limbaugh. ICE officials turned the matter over to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office. Paul Miller, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office, said, "The problem was that on the bottle itself was not his name, but the name of two Florida doctors". According to Miller, Limbaugh said he had the Viagra in his possession for personal use and he obtained it from his doctor. Investigators confiscated the drugs, and Limbaugh was released around 5:30 p.m. without being charged. The Sheriff's office intends to file a report with the Florida State's Attorney's office. "We believe there may be a second degree misdemeanor violation, which is possession of certain drugs without a prescription, because the bottle does not have his name on it," Miller said. It is unknown at this point what ramifications there are to Limbaugh's deal with his previous episode of "doctor shopping". Limbaugh was able to get a sweet heart deal to get dropped charges after 18 months of compliance with court directives and pay $30,000.
